Well yesterday was a sad day in the land of the Cooks. Wesley has been employed at the Camarillo Starbucks for over three years now. he transfered there from an Orange County store {which is closed} the summer after his junior year at Chapman. Wes came into this store as Steve Davis as his manager. Over the years Steve has been a big support in both of our lives. He has been the most flexible boss around. He was there each and every time Wes left the store and came back. He understood that Wes was only holding this job until he found something else to do. {I won’t get into that topic} He has been a great encouragement to Wes when he was having a bad day. His jolliness really made me laugh. When I found out that Steve was leaving the store I cried. I was able to cry with all the female employees at Starbucks. I felt like I work there. Anyways Steve has been a great person for Wes and I, but in the words of Wesley well “I enjoyed you being my boss, but I looked forward to you being my friend and a customer.”
What a Weekend
When I found out that Wesley forgot to ask for the 4th of July off and I learned that he had to close at the Bucks Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun night I was not too happy. I had all these plans to make plans for the three day weekend. But yeah I was not going to go out and do anything fun without him because that would have been mean. And I am not a mean person….hmmm….Well anyways here is my weekend in a nutshell…
Thursday Night….I get home from work and work on the project from you know where for about 30 minutes then it was off to the park. High School Bible Study was at the park across the street from my apartment. Couldn’t get any better then that. So I walked over there and there about 20 kids. Thats a great number. Kinda sad that there weren’t any incoming freshman. But that is my goal for the summer to get more of them. I was told Jeff scares them. I don;t possibly know how. Maybe it’s the loudness of all of the Precs….{that stands for pre college}…Well anyways we all sat around talking and enjoying company. Then came food nothing like Carne Asada burritos made by Mr. Vegetarian himself Jeff. They were great… Well after that I walked home and waited for Wesley to get home from work. In my waiting I made brownies and worked on the video…I stayed up until 2:30 that night. I was so rebelious…
I woke up Friday morning…err after noon around 12:30…great sleeping in felt so good….I woke up and made cinnamon rolls for Wesley and I. We watched a little TV and then I worked on the Video. Wes had to leave for work at 3:30 so he left and I watched a little bit more TV. I then pack up my computer and went to the bucks. I visited Wesley for about 10 minutes then I left for the Anderson’s House. I ate some good food and watched all the babies. I was there for about 1.5 hours then I left for the Bucks again. I got there and made myself at home. In my knowing that I was going to be at Starbucks all night I called some friends and told them that I was going to be there if they wanted to come hang out for a little while.
Well around 7:30 my friend Kendra showed up. She is my new friend. She is from Oregon…not just Oregon but from Salem. {here is a little side story about Salem and I. Whenever Wes and I drove up and down in between Washington and California we always ended up getting lost in Salem looking for a stinkin Starbucks. Salem has taken about 2 hours of my life.} Anyways Kendra brought a book knowing that I was working on my project. She just wanted someone to keep her company since her family isn’t here. About 5 minutes after Kendra got there in walks Tasha….Oh my day was made already how could it get any better then that. So Tasha and I just sat there chatting away with Kendra. It was so much fun…then Tasha said hey Sharon lets make me a Facebook. I was like ok sounds good to me. So We started looking for pictures of Tasha on my computer and we came across wedding pictures. She then told me that She had never seen my wedding pictures . I was like seriously so we preceded to look at wedding pictures with Kendra.
About 30 minutes into looking at pictures in walks Garrett. So now there were four of us cramped into the little corner of the bucks. Garrett had is own computer so he was doing his own thing. And then about 30 minutes after that in walks drum roll please…..Denise and Bethany….woohoo…. Oh man great.. now there were 6 of us in the corner of starbucks…about 10 minutes after they came in walked David…7…7 people all there because I said I was gunna be bored at Starbucks while waiting for wes.
Time came for wes to kick us out so we all went into the parking lot and watched the remainder of the fireworks that were being shot off around Camarillo. Oh yeah there is a new Mexican restaurant opening next to starbucks and they were having a party so there was loud salsa music playing…nothing like watching fireworks for the 4th of July while listening to Salsa music…so Californian….
Well when wes got off we got into our cars and we drove to Garrett’s house to watch a movie. When we got there Thomas Smith was sitting there. So we had Me, Wesley, David, Garrett, Denise, Tasha, Bethany, Kendra, and Thomas all watching Juno. It was a pretty good movie. About 30 minutes before the movie ended in walked Jordan and Hannah Bridges. And about 5 minutes before it ended Eric walked in. It was a party. So when the movie ended Denise Tasha and I did our traditional wrestling match which usually ends with me sitting on Denise and me pulling Tasha Hair tie out. Man that is so stress relieving after 8 years. I don’t think I could ever get tired of that. I love my best friends. Well after the movie we all went our separate ways. I left wes there he wanted to hang out with his friends more. I said that was fine as long as someone could take him home. Eric took him.
Well Saturday morning came and I work up at the great hour of 12:30. Man I love sleeping in. Actually I love not setting an alarm clock. However both mornings my mother called me at 10:30 on the dot…grrr…Well I woke up and Wes says wake up Ryan is coming over. So I got up hopped into the shower and then attempted to clean up just a bit. In walked Ryan. It was a nice short visit from Ryan. Wes had to leave for work at 2:15. Well Wesley left for work and I cleaned a little bit more. And then left for Starbucks. I got there and I work on my video for about 4 hours. At 8:30 Tasha, Denise, and Bethany showed up once again and we went to blockbuster and rented a movie. We rented P.S. I Love You. We went back to my apartment and watched it. It was a pretty long movie. It ended about 11:50ish. Then I had to take my friends back to the Bucks for their cars. When I got home wes and I watched a little bit of the old 3:10 to Yuma and then I went to bed.
Sunday morning came, and our alarm clocks did not agree with our bodies. We both slept through the alarm clocks. But then at 10:23 came the best alarm clock of all the train. Horns blow right past my window. Scared the sleepies out of me. I got up and i knew there is no way wes will wake up and be ready before church was over so i got up showered and left for church. I was only 15 minutes late. Just enough time to miss the music. I found a seat next to 4 of my 7 Precs…The sermon was good. He talked about a Christian’s role with authority and how we should treat and honor authority and that God’s authority is the ultimate. Well Dad got up and sang God Bless the USA and did fabulous as usual. Its funny how the congregation takes the word of a song literally. And I gladly stand up…up goes the crowd. I couldn’t help but laugh. Laughed in a good way not making fun of anyone. Me and the Precs sat and I sang loud and proud. When the last stand up with the cymbals part came Justin and Travis jumped up perfectly synchronized. It was quite entertaining. Good Job DAD…
After church I went home and I worked on the project and Wesley made me lunch. Wes had to work at 1:30 so it was a quick lunch. So I once again packed up my bag and left for the Bucks after cleaning the bathroom and folding some towels. I was only at the Bucks for about 5 minutes then I went to the church for the AMAZING RACE 2008 BIKE EDITION. I was planning on going to the first day and the last day of this event due to work on Monday and Tuesday. I should up to the church socialized a little bit and Jeff said did you bring a bike. I was like I didn’t know that there was going to be bike riding on the first day. So i called wes and asked him how his bike was he said the front wheel was not on. Then he said it would only take like 5 minutes to put on I said great. Justin and I hoped into my car and drove to my parents house and got the bike. We get back to the church and find out that we dont have the front screws to the bike. I called wes and asked where they were. He said at the apartment. I was like really. I needed to get closed toe shoes anyways so Justin and I hoped into my car again and drove to the apartment to not be able to find the screws or bolt whatever they were. So we called wes again he said look. We looked, and I got my shoes one and we left empty handed. Justin then called Jeff and Jeff told us to call Patti and ask her to bring her extra bikes front tire. Got back to the church and we had a quick orientation and then Patti came with the tire. My hero. We put the tire on and the bike worked great. Oh yeah of forgot to mention I have not been on a bike for about 2 years. I looked funny.
Well we all hoped on our bikes. I think there was about 20 of us total and we all followed Jeff and I was the end of the group. Oh my gosh the ride was so long. Lets just say i think it was about 6 miles long. That is really long for someone who has not exercised in a very long time. We rode all around Camarillo. At least that is what it felt like. When we got back to the church jeff gave us 5 minutes then he asked are you ready for the next event. I was like no….oh well so he gave each of us adult types teams. I was blessed with Travis ELizabeth Victoria Glenn and Cordel. It was quite a team. So we were sent on a scavenger hunt on our bikes and we had an hour a a half to do it. Lets just say the scavenger hunt led us back to my parents house. We needed a picture with a motorcycle, on a bed, on the same bike, doing handstands…yeah thank you mom and dad… Well we made it back to the church with 5 minutes remaining…. woohoo…well after that we all just hung out around the church and decorated our bikes with complete off the wall decorations… it was pretty funny how the bikes turned out. one of the teams got noise makers…go figure it was justin and Pauls team…they are noisy enough with out things to help them. After all the decorating we sat around and some kids with skateboards came on campus, and me being who i am decided to go scare them off. So i grabbed a walky talky and walked over there with my scary group of bike riders Justin Paul and Alexa.{ who duck taped an Ipod player to her bike} So here we come so scary and here come cordel behind them. We looked tough. Then all of a sudden Cordel and Justin were riding right towards each other…two seconds later crash head on. COrdel went flying over his handle bars and Justin just fell over. Trying to hold back the laughter i made sure they were both ok, and when i learned they were fine I could not stop laughing. It was so funny. That was cordels second crash of the day and Justin actually got hit by a car a week prior. Thats what made it more funny. So i walked Cordel’s bike back to where everyone was and paul went and told the kids to get off campus. Cordel had a few scratches and justin was fine. It was a great part of my day. After that we ate more carne asada burritos and it was time for me to go. I went over to starbucks for a few minutes and then I went home. When i got home I worked ont he project for about 30 minutes.
I tried to get out of my seat and I couldn’t walk. I was in so much pain from the bike ride. I have never felt that much pain in my legs before. I then attempted to go brush my teeth and I could not stand. I finally made it into bed and the pain like doubled. It hurt so bad. i could not fall asleep. I finally decided to take some advil. and about 15 minutes later I fell asleep. Concluding my busy weekend. it was great fun.
When I was at garretts I was looking around the room at all of my friends and I realized how blessed I am to have all of them and then when I was with the high school students i realized how greatful I should be for them. I have a good life.
Maybe next time I will get to hang out with my husband
Oh yeah I am going to Disneyland on Wednesday woohooo……

Monday in the Life
Oh man I love Mondays. Mondays are a great day for Wes and I to sit back and work. Lets see I woke up around 7:45, and wes made some nice yummy coffee.
Then after that I drove to work. When I got to work I had a whole 7 emails ready for me to respond to. 3 of them were tracking records of packages I mailed out on Friday. 2 of them were emails sent to everyone in the company. I then proceeded to burn my tongue on my coffee. What a great start to a Monday. Well between the hours of 9-12 I spun in my chair 12 times, went to the bathroom 4 times, emailed mom and dad 25 times, and called wes once. I also was able to check all my email, facebook, and myspace. Very productive 3 hours. Well at 12:15 i ate my lunch. I had a turkey sandwich, two rolls, a bag of cheezits, an apple, and two mini cupcakes. What a large lunch. After lunch i returned to my desk. Between the hours of 12:45 and 2:30 I spun 7 times, called wes twice, facebook and myspace wer all clear. At 2:30 we had a little cinco de Mayo party that consisted of coconut ice cream and mexican chocolate syrup. Oh and huge strawberries. That lasted until 3:00. At 3:00 i took some of the left over strawberries and cut them up and put them in a container to take home as a treat. Well between the hours of 3:00-5:30 I read some of my book, and I played two suduko games online. After this i left for the tutoring center.
Well I got to job number two and i sat for two hours with a 3rd grader. I also went potty three times. I really shouldn’t have drinken 45 oz of water before i left job number 1.
Well after work i had three whole missed calls. One was from Charlie Maloney reminding me to do something, one was from cara, and one was from my fab sister erin. So i called cara back and she gave me great news, then I called erin and she was rubbing in her great adventures. Then i got home and wes made me dinner. after dinner we sat a watched house and little people big world. Oh that Matt roloff, he’s a funny guy with a red sweater.
After this i went to bed.
Oh what a big busy productive day. I wish everyday was like that great Monday. Oh Wait everyday is like my Monday.
Still not up to much
Well lets see what has happened since the last post. Well Wes went up to Washington and got all of our stuff. It only took them about 3 hours to load. That is great timing. It helped that Wes’s parents pre-packed a few things. While he was driving down fro Washington with his parents I went to Frank’s Tia Gloria’s house and help anut debbie, amy , grandma, trina, and a bunch of franks female members make stuff for the wedding. After that wes and his parent arrived. They made great timing considering they drove from Oak Harbor. Lets see Sunday we went shopping, the whole herd of us and when I say herd I mean wes, me, Dave, Tina, Grandma, Grandma’s Boyfriend Frank, Debbie, Amy, Jacob, Tj and Christopher. That was an adventure. I bought shoes for the wedding. Monday rolled around and I had to “work” after work I went to Alcopocos for Margarita Monday. woot…then we went bowling. It was a lot of fun. I slept well that night. Well then tuesday came and I once again “worked” then was the rehearsal. I believe this is going to be the most confusing wedding i have ever been in or been too. it’s gunna be an adventure. After the rehearsal wes and i went to starbucks then i went shopping with Amy at Target. The wednesday came. with wednesday came all of our stuff from washington. It wasnt supposed to be here until next monday, but they decided to drive really fast. so while i was at “work” wes, dave, frank{grandma’s frank}, Russell {cousin}, daniel {cousin’s “friend”}, Tj, Chris, and Jacob all unloaded the trailer. They unpacked the whole thing in 50 minutes. amazing. They however forgot to unpack everything and decorate my apartment while i was gone. SO when I got home from “work” my apartment was a disaster. But it was the best disaster I have ever seen. Well wes had to go to work as soon as i got home, and i left a half an hour later to have coffee with my best friend tasha. That was great. after that i had a staff meeting at the tutoring center. After that i drove by denny’s where the family was recovering from a turisting day in LA. Well I got home late and I only had time to clear off my bed. so the moral of the story is I GOT TO SLEEP IN A BED…….i havn’t done that since February….it was great…well tonight is the rehearsal dinner, and tomarrow is th e wedding, then disneyland on sat and sun…pray for me and my patience level while i am at Disneyland….it is going to be me, wes, dave, tina, grandma, Grandma’s frank, debbie, amy, russell, daniel, tj, chris, jacob, uncle Mike and aunt tina….Thats 15 people in one group to DL….like going with the high schoolers, cept…i cant leave this group….ahhhh….i will sneek away sometime….hopefully…i bribed david and eric to come and save me from all these people….maybe i will come down with the flu or maybe i will get picked to stay at the dream suite and i could just go sleep….hehe…that would be great omg….ok I am done typing I hope all is well with all two people who read this….

Not much on this end
Well not much has been going on for Wes and I. My new job is good, but if there is nothing to do…there is really nothing to do. I believe I check my email about 20 times a day. With only an email about twice a day. I was told that this job isnt really ever this slow, Well I hope not, I might begin to cry soon. There are only so many Yahoo headlines I can read. Oh well… lets see well the big wedding is coming up quickly, the whole in law family is coming for a week so that will be an adventure, trying to manage family and two jobs. Oh well…lets see what else wes is actively looking for a new job hoping some day the film industry will realize what they are missing out on with out him.
We will just continue to wait patiently. I have sucessfully filled my plate once again for another two months. i am working on a secret project that is due the first week of June. So hopefully i wont wait for the last minute to complete this project. I get to say bye bye to wes for a few days as he is going to fly to Washington to get our stuff, That weekend is so packed with stuff already, it’s going to be a long weekend. But oh man do we need our stuff. I miss my dishes and my pans. I really want to make a cake..
…Well thats pretty much it from my end. Oh yeah we went to Disneyland two weekends in a row…thats was fun and expensive…darn rainforest cafe….darn pina coladas hehe…
Mexico 2008
Oh man what a great trip to Mexico I had this year. It was full of memories that will last a long time. A lot of new inside jokes were created. Friendships were stregthend and challenged. Everyone worked hard and I am so proud of all of the students. They stepped up and excepted the challege that God placed before them. No major injuries, only one nail in the foot and a lot of banged fingers.{ Those were all mine} here are a few pictures from the trip.
This is a picture of our stump. This stump set my worksite behind by about 3/4 of a day. I saw this only as a challenge to finish faster and work harder.
I saw this as a good thing. That stump tried to stump us, but it was not successful. Whoever gave this group of students instructions on how to build a house must be crazy. Well this group of students built two houses, and gave two families places to live with thier families. It was a true blessing to go this year. I can’t wait for the years to come. However it will be different without my seniors. The last night at the camp I sat around the fire with about eight seniors and I got a little sad. These kids are graduating this year. I have been with them since 6th grade. They are my kids…my friends….a true blessing to me…
Hello Everyone
Hello Everyone…I figured it’s Wes and my turn to create a blog. Lets see if I will actually keep up with it
I have attached a picture of us just incase you have forgotten what we looked like
