Picture Frames

You know I never thought that filling a few picture frames would make the apartment feel so much more cozy. And I never knew how incredibly difficult it would be to find the correct pictures to fill these frames. It was quite a weekend but we finally decided on what picture to put in the frames and they look great.

We still have more frames to buy. And more well to decorate, and a bookshelf to purchase, but after that I think our apartment will be done, besides all the laundry that needs to be folded. :)

Where has time gone?

Well it has been 6 weeks since I have returned from Peru and how that time has flown by. Not much has really happened in my life since I have returned. Here is what has been going on since the return…

  • Wes’s work schedule has been crazy and sooooo inconvenient.
  • Wes is still looking for a job and keeps getting nothing in return
  • I am still dealing with my job and there have been a few new changes around my job. I am not sure how they will all work out.
  • The school year started and the youth group has been flipped upside down, and we working so hard to re motivate kids to come to youth group and events. We have learned that Volleyball is the new soccer.
  • Wes and I have been put “as leaders” of the college/young adult group at church….which I believe to have been a great thing for both Wes and I {Rob Bell always knows what we need to hear}
  • I have started a D group with three of the girls from youth group. It is a definite change for me and a great way for me to reach out to other girls
  • My kids are all in college now {5 have moved away}
  • Wes and I are attempting to get into better shape….key word attempting….
  • Wes and I finally bought decorations for the apartment. Woohoo…it feels more like a home
  • We both miss our Washington families a whole bunch……
  • We are going to plan a vacation to the Grand Canyon {that was my idea, Wes has never been there}
  • The new season of TV has started…Monday= Jon and kate Plus Eight, Tuesday= NCIS, Biggest Loser, House, Little People Big World, Without a Trace and Law and Order SVU….that is 6 shows in one night…thank you DVR,  Wednesday= Private Practice, Pushing Daisies, CSI:NY, and I think Law and Order, Thursday= CSI{woohoo} Grey’s Anatomy Friday=What not to Wear Saturday=Nothing Sunday=Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters….I think thats all of them…or man…no life.

So that is our life as of now….It is hard to go on with my life when all I can think of is these guys…..

Oh well life will go on…Please keep Wesley in your prayers…he needs it…and on top of all the work stress for him he has a cold…figures…

Oh yeah one last thing…We saw the Angels smash the Mariners…sorry Sis

This was one of my best days so far being back from Peru….Amazing….Okay here’s a game try and Find me..

Thats right I’m the white one with the bright orange shirt….what was I thinking…Oh man….

Good Bye Friend

Well yesterday was a sad day in the land of the Cooks. Wesley has been employed at the Camarillo Starbucks for over three years now. he transfered there from an Orange County store {which is closed} the summer after his junior year at Chapman. Wes came into this store as Steve Davis as his manager. Over the years Steve has been a big support in both of our lives. He has been the most flexible boss around. He was there each and every time Wes left the store and came back. He understood that Wes was only holding this job until he found something else to do. {I won’t get into that topic} He has been a great encouragement to Wes when he was having a bad day. His jolliness really made me laugh. When I found out that Steve was leaving the store I cried. I was able to cry with all the female employees at Starbucks. I felt like I work there. Anyways Steve has been a great person for Wes and I, but in the words of Wesley well “I enjoyed you being my boss, but I looked forward to you being my friend and a customer.”

Monday in the Life

Oh man I love Mondays. Mondays are a great day for Wes and I to sit back and work. Lets see I woke up around 7:45, and wes made some nice yummy coffee. Then after that I drove to work. When I got to work I had a whole 7 emails ready for me to respond to. 3 of them were tracking records of packages I mailed out on Friday. 2 of them were emails sent to everyone in the company. I then proceeded to burn my tongue on my coffee. What a great start to a Monday. Well between the hours of 9-12 I spun in my chair 12 times, went to the bathroom 4 times, emailed mom and dad 25 times, and called wes once. I also was able to check all my email, facebook, and myspace. Very productive 3 hours. Well at 12:15 i ate my lunch. I had a turkey sandwich, two rolls, a bag of cheezits, an apple, and two mini cupcakes. What a large lunch. After lunch i returned to my desk. Between the hours of 12:45 and 2:30 I spun 7 times, called wes twice, facebook and myspace wer all clear. At 2:30 we had a little cinco de Mayo party that consisted of coconut ice cream and mexican chocolate syrup. Oh and huge strawberries. That lasted until 3:00. At 3:00 i took some of the left over strawberries and cut them up and put them in a container to take home as a treat. Well between the hours of 3:00-5:30 I read some of my book, and I played two suduko games online. After this i left for the tutoring center.

Well I got to job number two and i sat for two hours with a 3rd grader. I also went potty three times. I really shouldn’t have drinken 45 oz of water before i left job number 1.

Well after work i had three whole missed calls. One was from Charlie Maloney reminding me to do something, one was from cara, and one was from my fab sister erin. So i called cara back and she gave me great news, then I called erin and she was rubbing in her great adventures. Then i got home and wes made me dinner. after dinner we sat a watched house and little people big world. Oh that Matt roloff, he’s a funny guy with a red sweater. After this i went to bed.

Oh what a big busy productive day. I wish everyday was like that great Monday. Oh Wait everyday is like my Monday.

Still not up to much

Well lets see what has happened since the last post. Well Wes went up to Washington and got all of our stuff. It only took them about 3 hours to load. That is great timing. It helped that Wes’s parents pre-packed a few things. While he was driving down fro Washington with his parents I went to Frank’s Tia Gloria’s house and help anut debbie, amy , grandma, trina, and a bunch of franks female members make stuff for the wedding. After that wes and his parent arrived. They made great timing considering they drove from Oak Harbor. Lets see Sunday we went shopping, the whole herd of us and when I say herd I mean wes, me, Dave, Tina, Grandma, Grandma’s Boyfriend Frank, Debbie, Amy, Jacob, Tj and Christopher. That was an adventure. I bought shoes for the wedding. Monday rolled around and I had to “work” after work I went to Alcopocos for Margarita Monday. woot…then we went bowling. It was a lot of fun. I slept well that night. Well then tuesday came and I once again “worked” then was the rehearsal. I believe this is going to be the most confusing wedding i have ever been in or been too. it’s gunna be an adventure.  After the rehearsal wes and i went to starbucks then i went shopping with Amy at Target. The wednesday came. with wednesday came all of our stuff from washington. It wasnt supposed to be here until next monday, but they decided to drive really fast. so while i was at “work” wes, dave, frank{grandma’s frank}, Russell {cousin}, daniel {cousin’s “friend”}, Tj, Chris, and Jacob all unloaded the trailer. They unpacked the whole thing in 50 minutes. amazing. They however forgot to unpack everything and decorate my apartment while i was gone. SO when I got home from “work” my apartment was a disaster. But it was the best disaster I have ever seen. Well wes had to go to work as soon as i got home, and i left a half an hour later to have coffee with my best friend tasha. That was great. after that i had a staff meeting at the tutoring center. After that i drove by denny’s where the family was recovering from a turisting day in LA. Well I got home late and I only had time to clear off my bed. so the moral of the story is I GOT TO SLEEP IN A BED…….i havn’t done that since February….it was great…well tonight is the rehearsal dinner, and tomarrow is th e wedding, then disneyland on sat and sun…pray for me and my patience level while i am at Disneyland….it is going to be me, wes, dave, tina, grandma, Grandma’s frank, debbie, amy, russell, daniel, tj, chris, jacob, uncle Mike and aunt tina….Thats 15 people in one group to DL….like going with the high schoolers, cept…i cant leave this group….ahhhh….i will sneek away sometime….hopefully…i bribed david and eric to come and save me from all these people….maybe i will come down with the flu or maybe i will get picked to stay at the dream suite and i could just go sleep….hehe…that would be great omg….ok I am done typing I hope all is well with all two people who read this….

Not much on this end

Well not much has been going on for Wes and I. My new job is good, but if there is nothing to do…there is really nothing to do. I believe I check my email about 20 times a day. With only an email about twice a day. I was told that this job isnt really ever this slow, Well I hope not, I might begin to cry soon. There are only so many Yahoo headlines I can read. Oh well… lets see well the big wedding is coming up quickly, the whole in law family is coming for a week so that will be an adventure, trying to manage family and two jobs. Oh well…lets see what else wes is actively looking for a new job hoping some day the film industry will realize what they are missing out on with out him. :) We will just continue to wait patiently. I have sucessfully filled my plate once again for another two months. i am working on a secret project that is due the first week of June. So hopefully i wont wait for the last minute to complete this project. I get to say bye bye to wes for a few days as he is going to fly to Washington to get our stuff, That weekend is so packed with stuff already, it’s going to be a long weekend. But oh man do we need our stuff. I miss my dishes and my pans. I really want to make a cake.. :) …Well thats pretty much it from my end. Oh yeah we went to Disneyland two weekends in a row…thats was fun and expensive…darn rainforest cafe….darn pina coladas hehe…
